Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Safety Compliance & Monitoring
-
Ensure compliance with safety laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

Conduct daily safety inspections of worksites, equipment, and facilities.
-
Monitor ongoing operations to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
-
Maintain records of inspections, safety violations, and corrective actions taken.
-
Ensure that employees follow safety protocols and wear the necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
2. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
-
Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
-
Implement effective control measures to minimize safety risks.
-
Ensure that all machinery, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and safe to use.
-
Report unsafe conditions and work with the management team to mitigate risks.
3. Training & Awareness
-
Conduct safety induction programs for new employees and site workers.
-
Organize workshops, drills, and awareness campaigns to promote a safety culture.
-
Provide training on fire safety, first aid, emergency procedures, and evacuation plans.
-
Educate employees on safe work practices and preventive measures.
4. Incident Management
-
Respond promptly to accidents, incidents, and emergencies.
-
Investigate workplace accidents and prepare detailed reports on findings and causes.
-
Recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid future incidents.

Coordinate with external agencies (fire department, hospitals, etc.) when required.
5. Documentation & Reporting
-
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, incidents, and trainings.
-
Prepare and submit monthly safety performance reports to the management team.
-
Assist in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
-
Ensure proper filing of safety permits, licenses, and certifications.
6. Coordination with Teams
-
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, HR, and site supervisors to maintain a safe environment.
-
Act as the point of contact between the management and workforce regarding safety concerns.
-
Support cross-functional teams during emergency response situations.
Required Skills & Competencies
1. Technical Skills
-
Knowledge of OSHA / ISO / HSE safety standards and government regulations.
-
Familiarity with firefighting systems, first-aid techniques, and emergency handling.
-
Understanding of workplace risk assessment tools and safety equipment.

Ability to conduct safety audits, inspections, and accident investigations.
2. Soft Skills
-
Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
-
Excellent communication skills to interact with employees at all levels.

Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
-
Attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards proactively.
3. Computer Skills
-
Proficiency in MS Office for preparing reports, maintaining data, and managing documentation.

Knowledge of safety management software is an advantage.
