Job Description
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales Area Manager to lead our sales operations in a defined geographic area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of sales executives, driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
This is a leadership role requiring strong strategic thinking, execution skills, and the ability to drive high performance through a sales team. Candidates with experience in FMCG, construction materials, sanitaryware, hardware, electrical, or B2B industrial products are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Execution:

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area.

Plan area-level sales activities in alignment with organizational goals.

Identify new business opportunities, customer segments, and channel partners.
2. Team Management & Leadership:

Recruit, train, mentor, and lead a team of Sales Executives / Representatives.

Assign individual targets, monitor performance, and provide feedback and motivation.

Conduct regular meetings, reviews, and field visits to assess performance and market coverage.
3. Channel Management:

Establish and manage relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, and channel partners.

Ensure product availability, timely delivery, and proper merchandising at all sales points.

Resolve distributor/dealer issues promptly and professionally.
4. Market Expansion & Penetration:

Identify new markets and geographical areas for business development.

Conduct competitor analysis and develop counter-strategies.

Launch new products or promotions in coordination with the marketing team.
5. Reporting & Analysis:

Monitor area-level sales data, KPIs, and field reports.

Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity.

Use data to make informed decisions and improve operational efficiency.
6. Customer Relationship & Service:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, institutions, and stakeholders.

Handle escalations, complaints, and ensure a positive customer experience.

Work closely with the customer service team to address after-sales support.
