Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in Marathi and Hindi, a positive working attitude, and a willingness to handle all aspects of store operations. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, assisting with product sales, managing store operations, and ensuring the store runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
Customer Assistance: Greet customers as they enter the store and assist with product inquiries, offering recommendations based on their needs.
Product Knowledge: Provide detailed information about products and services, helping customers make informed purchase decisions.
Handling Complaints: Address and resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and positive manner to ensure satisfaction.
Checkout & Billing: Assist with the checkout process, including cash handling, processing payments, and issuing receipts.
2. Sales & Product Promotion:
Sales Targets: Work towards achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets, upselling and cross-selling products as needed.
Product Displays: Ensure that all products are displayed neatly and in an organized manner, following visual merchandising guidelines.
Promotions & Discounts: Inform customers of ongoing promotions, sales, and discounts to encourage purchasing.
3. Store Operations:
Stock Management: Assist in stock receiving, organization, and inventory control. Monitor stock levels and notify the manager when stock needs to be replenished.
Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including shelves, displays, and fitting rooms.
Store Opening/Closing: Assist with opening and closing procedures, ensuring security and proper cash handling at the beginning and end of each shift.
Inventory Management: Track sales and inventory levels, ensuring that all products are well-stocked and displayed.
4. Cash Handling & Transactions:
Cash Register: Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions, credit card payments, and online payment processing.
Cash Reconciliation: Ensure that the cash register balances at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to the manager.
Return & Exchange: Handle product returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies, maintaining customer satisfaction.
5. Team Collaboration:
Team Support: Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and assist each other as needed during peak hours.
Training: Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new products, sales techniques, and store procedures.
Communication: Maintain open communication with the Store Manager and other team members regarding store activities, customer feedback, and sales targets.
Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
A degree or diploma in Retail, Sales, or related fields is a plus.
Skills:
Language Proficiency: Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is required for effective communication with a diverse customer base.
Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
Sales Skills: Ability to meet sales targets and upsell products.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail when organizing products and handling transactions.
Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-Solving: Ability to address customer issues or concerns and find appropriate solutions.
Teamwork: Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with others in the store.
