Sales Associate
Job Description
Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated, customer-focused Sales Associate to join our sales team. The Sales Associate will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, assisting customers with product selection, driving sales, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the store or sales floor. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service & Sales Support:

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Understand customer needs and recommend products or services that best suit their requirements.

Assist customers in product selection, demonstrations, and resolving queries.

Promote special offers, new arrivals, and loyalty programs to encourage sales.

Provide after-sales support and follow up when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
2. Sales Achievement:

Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.

Actively participate in upselling and cross-selling products to increase basket value.

Understand and meet key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rate, average transaction value, and customer retention.
3. Store Maintenance & Merchandising:

Ensure that products are properly displayed, labeled, and arranged according to visual merchandising standards.

Restock shelves and maintain inventory levels.
-
Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and safe at all times.

Assist in receiving deliveries and managing stock in the backroom when required.
4. Billing & Transactions:
-
Handle cash, card, and digital payments accurately using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.

Issue receipts, process returns or exchanges according to company policies.

Maintain accurate records of sales, returns, and stock transactions.
5. Teamwork & Collaboration:
-
Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to meet store goals.

Share customer feedback, market insights, and sales ideas with the team.

Support team members during peak hours, store events, or promotional campaigns.
Qualifications and Experience:
-
Education: Minimum 12th pass; Graduation preferred.

Experience:
-
Prior experience in sales, retail, or customer service is an advantage.
-
Freshers with good communication skills and a passion for customer interaction are also welcome.

Language: Proficiency in local language. Basic English or Hindi communication is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with billing systems, POS, and basic computer usage.

Ability to learn and operate internal sales tools and inventory systems.
