Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our retail sales team. The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service, assisting shoppers with product selection, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a friendly personality, good communication skills, and a passion for helping customers find the right products to meet their needs.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and eager to contribute to the overall success of the store.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Service & Engagement

Greet customers warmly as they enter the store.

Understand customer needs through active listening and effective questioning.

Assist customers in selecting products by providing detailed information on features, benefits, and prices.

Offer personalized product recommendations based on customer preferences and budget.

Handle customer queries, concerns, and complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
2. Sales & Upselling
-
Meet and strive to exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.

Actively promote ongoing promotions, discounts, or loyalty programs to customers.

Upsell complementary products and accessories to maximize sales value.

Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Follow up with customers post-sale when required to build customer loyalty.
3. Inventory Management

Assist in receiving and unpacking new stock shipments.

Organize and replenish store shelves, displays, and racks.

Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies to the inventory manager.

Ensure the sales floor is neat, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
4. Product Knowledge & Training

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, features, and industry trends.

Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and selling skills.

Share knowledge with team members and assist new associates in onboarding.
5. Administrative Tasks

Prepare daily sales reports and document customer interactions.

Ensure all sales-related paperwork and documentation is completed accurately.

Comply with store policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Assist in opening and closing the store as per company guidelines.
Required Skills & Competencies
