Position Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our growing team. As a Sales Associate, you will serve as the face of the company—helping customers find what they need, recommending suitable products/services, and ensuring an excellent buying experience.
You will play a key role in driving revenue, maintaining positive customer relationships, and contributing to overall brand reputation. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for sales, strong communication skills, and a desire to grow professionally in a customer-centric environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Engagement & Product Demonstration

Greet customers warmly and assist them in identifying their needs.

Present, promote, and explain product features and benefits confidently.

Offer accurate information regarding price, specifications, warranties, and usage.

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and professionalism.
2. Sales Conversion

Use persuasive selling techniques to convert inquiries into successful sales.

Offer alternatives or add-ons to increase the value of the sale (upselling/cross-selling).

Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets consistently.

Build trust with customers and develop long-term relationships for repeat business.
3. Inventory & Stock Management (For Retail)

Ensure stock levels are maintained on the shop floor.

Coordinate with inventory staff or warehouse to replenish items as needed.
-
Tag products, arrange shelves/displays, and maintain store cleanliness.

Perform stock checks and assist during inventory audits.
4. Order & Payment Handling
-
Process customer transactions using POS systems, mobile apps, or billing software.
-
Maintain accuracy in invoicing, receipts, and payment modes (cash, card, UPI, etc.).

For online sales, ensure order confirmations, dispatch coordination, and tracking updates.
5. Customer Feedback & Issue Resolution

Address customer queries, doubts, and complaints promptly and politely.

Escalate unresolved issues to the manager or customer support team.

Gather customer feedback and suggestions to improve service delivery.

Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism during stressful interactions.
6. Reporting & Documentation
-
Maintain daily records of sales, walk-ins, calls, or leads handled.

Prepare brief reports for your team leader or manager on targets achieved and challenges faced.

Use software (CRM, Excel, or POS) to update and track customer data and sales records.
