Position Overview

The Sales Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and driving revenue growth by promoting and selling the company's products or services. This role combines strategic planning, market research, prospecting, and sales execution to expand the company’s customer base and maintain long-term client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with a strong sales mindset, an understanding of market trends, and the ability to build rapport with diverse clients. Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation and Prospecting

  • Identify potential clients through cold calls, online research, referrals, events, and networking platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, industry directories).

  • Qualify prospects based on their needs, budget, timeline, and decision-making structure.

  • Create and maintain a pipeline of leads using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho CRM, HubSpot).

2. Client Engagement and Relationship Building

  • Reach out to potential clients via phone, email, or in-person meetings to introduce company offerings.

  • Understand client pain points, business objectives, and challenges to offer tailored solutions.

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.

3. Product/Service Pitch and Demonstration

  • Present company products or services in a compelling manner, highlighting key features, value propositions, and benefits.

  • Conduct product demos, sales presentations, or solution walkthroughs in collaboration with the technical or pre-sales team.

  • Customize proposals or presentations to align with client expectations and industry needs.

4. Sales Negotiation and Deal Closure

  • Prepare and share quotes, proposals, and contract documents in line with pricing and compliance policies.

  • Negotiate terms, overcome objections, and work towards favorable deal closures.

  • Coordinate with internal departments such as legal, finance, and delivery to facilitate smooth onboarding of new clients.

5. Post-Sales Coordination

  • Collaborate with account management or customer success teams to ensure successful delivery of promised services or products.

  • Conduct post-sales follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction, gather feedback, and identify cross-selling or upselling opportunities.

  • Maintain long-term relationships with clients to drive repeat business and customer retention.

6. Market Intelligence and Reporting

  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and emerging customer needs.

  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, opportunities, targets, and achievements to senior leadership.

  • Analyze customer data and sales performance to refine strategy and identify areas of improvement.
