Sales Collection Executive
Job Description
Job Summary:
A Sales Collection Executive is responsible for field-based cash collection from customers, promoting chit schemes, and supporting day-to-day office and bank-related tasks. The role includes traveling to customer locations to collect payments, issuing receipts, ensuring secure handling of collected amounts, and depositing the funds at the company’s branch office. The executive also assists in basic administrative tasks and supports office operations as needed.
The ideal candidate should be trustworthy, punctual, and capable of handling cash responsibly. This role requires fieldwork, customer interaction, marketing communication, and coordination with internal departments such as accounts and operations.
Office Timing:
Morning 9:30 AM to Evening 7:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)
Lunch and tea breaks as per company policy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Field Cash Collection

Visit assigned customers or members daily to collect cash payments as per schedule.

Issue official receipts for every transaction collected from customers.

Verify customer details, pending amounts, and maintain accurate records of collections.

Ensure cash is securely handled and avoid any discrepancies during collection.

Communicate politely and professionally with customers while collecting dues.
2. Chit Fund Sales and Marketing

Promote company chit schemes to prospective and existing customers.

Explain chit group benefits, payment terms, and maturity process to potential subscribers.

Distribute pamphlets, visit nearby areas, and generate leads for new group enrolments.

Help the marketing or branch team to meet chit subscription targets.

Follow up with interested customers and help them complete application forms or KYC processes.
3. Daily Cash Deposit

After completing collections, deposit the entire day’s cash to the company’s branch office before the end of the working day.

Maintain a daily log sheet or deposit register and submit it to the accounts or branch manager.

Ensure there is no delay or mismanagement in the deposit and reporting process.
4. Office and Administrative Work

Assist with daily office tasks such as document filing, voucher preparation, customer record updates, and photocopying.

Support the back office in arranging collection books, verifying customer lists, and updating account ledgers.

Maintain customer records in physical files and/or computer systems, as per instructions.

Handle customer complaints or doubts related to collections, chit balances, or receipt entries, and escalate when needed.
5. Bank Work

Visit the bank for deposits, withdrawals, or to submit cheques and other documents as instructed by the branch manager.

Collect bank slips, maintain proper documentation, and return to the office with acknowledgments.

Maintain professionalism while dealing with bank staff and ensure all transactions are recorded.
6. Recordkeeping and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of daily collections, receipts issued, and pending dues.

Submit end-of-day reports to the office, along with deposit confirmations.

Record any missed collections or customer absences and report immediately.

Cooperate with the accounts team during audits or cash verifications.
