Sales Consultant
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Acquisition and Sales Generation

Conduct field visits to prospective and existing customers including transporters, fleet owners, and commercial vehicle dealers.

Present Mahindra trucks and buses, explaining key features, specifications, and competitive advantages.

Understand the customer’s business needs and recommend suitable vehicles that align with their operational requirements.

Negotiate sales deals while ensuring profitable margins for the company.

Close sales effectively and meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
2. Market Development and Territory Management
-
Map and analyze your territory to identify potential customers and untapped markets.

Develop and implement sales strategies to increase Mahindra’s market share in the commercial vehicle segment.

Maintain regular contact with key customers to foster trust and repeat business.

Gather market intelligence regarding competitor offerings, pricing, and customer preferences.

Provide feedback and insights to the regional sales manager and product teams for strategic decision-making.
3. Product Demonstrations and Test Drives
-
Organize product demonstrations and coordinate test drives for customers.

Explain technical specifications, fuel efficiency, maintenance advantages, and safety features.

Address technical queries and objections confidently, coordinating with the technical team if needed.

Ensure customers receive hands-on experience and develop confidence in Mahindra products.
4. Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with fleet owners, business clients, and channel partners.

Provide excellent customer service by following up on sales, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Handle customer grievances and resolve issues related to sales or product performance, escalating where necessary.

Facilitate smooth documentation and finance processes in collaboration with the sales support team.
5. Coordination and Reporting

Coordinate with Mahindra’s dealership network, finance partners, and service teams to ensure seamless customer experience.

Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market feedback.

Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales progress, challenges, and competitor activity.

Participate actively in training sessions, sales meetings, and product launches to stay updated on company offerings.
6. Compliance and Ethical Selling

Adhere strictly to Mahindra’s code of conduct, company policies, and legal regulations governing commercial vehicle sales.

Promote Mahindra’s brand values through ethical selling practices and transparency.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer and company information.
