Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth by managing the full sales cycle, from initial outbound prospecting to closing deals. With a proven track record in SaaS sales and a deep understanding of consultative selling, the ideal candidate will excel in building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional value.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify potential clients through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, networking, email campaigns, and inbound inquiries.

  • Build a strong sales pipeline by targeting SMBs, enterprises, and startups.

  • Research and understand customer needs, industry trends, and pain points to propose relevant SaaS solutions.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to qualify and convert leads into active opportunities.

2. SaaS Product Presentations & Demonstrations

  • Conduct product demos, walkthroughs, and presentations to showcase SaaS features and benefits.

  • Explain how the platform solves specific business challenges for clients.

  • Customize demo sessions based on client requirements and use cases.

  • Answer technical queries in collaboration with the pre-sales and product teams.

3. Consultative Selling

  • Understand client business goals, challenges, and existing tech infrastructure.

  • Recommend tailored SaaS solutions aligned with customer needs.

  • Provide insights into integration capabilities, automation, and scalability of the platform.

  • Build trust and position the company as a strategic technology partner rather than just a vendor.

4. Negotiation & Deal Closure

  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and pricing strategies based on client requirements.

  • Negotiate pricing, licensing, and subscription plans with decision-makers.

  • Collaborate with the legal and finance teams to finalize contracts and agreements.

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual SaaS sales targets.

5. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts.

  • Drive customer engagement and retention by providing post-sales support and insights.

  • Collaborate with the Customer Success Team to ensure smooth onboarding and adoption.

6. Collaboration with Internal Teams

  • Work closely with the marketing team to refine campaigns and generate quality leads.

  • Provide client feedback to the product team for platform improvements.

  • Partner with the tech support team to resolve client issues quickly.

  • Share best practices and sales strategies with the broader sales team.

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate sales data in CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho.

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on lead generation, pipeline, and conversions.

  • Provide management with insights into customer feedback, product demand, and competitive positioning.

Required Skills and Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of SaaS platforms, cloud solutions, and subscription-based pricing models.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho.

  • Understanding of API integrations, cloud security, and product scalability (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Ability to conduct virtual product demos using Zoom, Google Meet, or MS Teams.
