Job Description

Sunrad Renewable Energy & Electrical Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is a fast-growing solar EPC company delivering high-quality rooftop, ground-mount, and hybrid solar solutions across Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. We also distribute a full range of BOS components, inverters, panels, structures, and complete solar project materials. We are scaling aggressively toward becoming one of Tamil Nadu’s top solar players.

Position Summary

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying customer needs, promoting Sunrad’s solar EPC and distribution products, and closing deals across domestic, commercial, and industrial segments. This role demands a mix of technical understanding, consultative selling, and strong relationship-building skills.


Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
  • Generate leads and convert them into qualified opportunities across residential, commercial & industrial segments.
  • Present Sunrad’s EPC solutions (on-grid, off-grid, hybrid, BESS, ground-mount, rooftop) and BOS product range to clients.
  • Conduct site assessments along with the technical team and prepare customer proposals.
  • Achieve monthly & quarterly sales targets consistently.
Client Engagement
  • Understand customer requirements and provide technically sound solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, facility managers, architects, builders, and channel partners.
  • Handle customer objections confidently and guide them through the sales process.
Technical & Proposal Support
  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals, BOQs, and ROI/payback analysis with the internal design team.
  • Explain system sizing, inverter selection, panel types, and other components.
  • Stay updated with solar subsidies, DISCOM requirements, and regulatory changes.
Market Intelligence
  • Track competitor offerings, pricing trends, and new technologies (TOPCon, bifacial, BESS, hybrid inverters, etc.)
  • Identify new business sectors and revenue streams.


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Diploma / BE in Electrical, EEE, ECE, Mechanical, or a related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience in Solar EPC / Electrical solutions / Industrial sales.
  • Strong technical understanding of solar systems (rooftop & ground-mount).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle field travel (within Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and basic design knowledge (added advantage).


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling to commercial & industrial customers.
  • Knowledge of ALMM modules, inverter brands, subsidies, net metering, and energy auditing.
  • Exposure to BESS and hybrid solutions.
