Job Description
Job Summary:
A Sales Executive is responsible for identifying potential customers, understanding their needs, and offering appropriate products or services to meet those needs. The role involves generating leads, building customer relationships, negotiating deals, closing sales, and meeting assigned targets. Sales Executives play a vital role in driving revenue, brand growth, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is persuasive, customer-oriented, and results-driven, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Whether engaging in direct field sales, telesales, or B2B/B2C environments, a Sales Executive must have strong communication skills, product knowledge, and a passion for customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting:

Identify and approach potential customers through cold calling, field visits, online research, referrals, or networking.

Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline using CRM or lead tracking tools.

Qualify leads based on customer needs, budget, and buying timeline.
2. Customer Engagement:

Contact prospective customers to explain product or service offerings.

Understand customer pain points and provide tailored solutions.

Schedule and conduct in-person meetings, product demos, or virtual presentations.
3. Sales Conversion:

Present, promote, and sell products/services to prospective customers using solid arguments.

Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery timelines with clients.

Prepare sales quotations, proposals, and agreements in coordination with the sales manager.
4. Customer Relationship Management:

Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients.

Follow up after sales to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Resolve client concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
5. Sales Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of all interactions, leads, follow-ups, and closed deals.

Submit daily, weekly, or monthly reports on sales activities and achievements.

Work with CRM software or Excel to track targets and conversions.
6. Target Achievement:

Meet or exceed assigned monthly/quarterly sales targets.

Achieve KPIs including number of calls/visits, conversion ratio, and client retention.

Participate in promotional campaigns or field activations to boost sales.
7. Product Knowledge & Market Awareness:

Stay informed about product features, benefits, updates, and competitive pricing.

Understand industry trends, customer behavior, and competitors' offerings.

Share customer feedback with the product or marketing team to improve offerings.
8. Team Collaboration:

Coordinate with marketing, logistics, and support teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding.

Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.

Support new team members with onboarding or field mentoring if required.
