Job Description
Department: Sales & Marketing
Location: Ranchi
Reports To: Sales Manager / Business Development Manager
The Sales Executive is responsible for generating new leads, converting prospects into clients, and maintaining long-term relationships with customers. They promote travel agency services, packages, and solutions to individuals, groups, and corporate clients. The role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:-
Sales & Lead Generation

Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calls, emails, social media, walk-ins, and networking.

Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Promote travel packages, holiday deals, and ticketing services to clients.

Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.

Understand client travel needs and suggest suitable packages or itineraries.

Provide after-sales support and handle customer complaints or queries.

Product Knowledge & Presentation

Stay updated with new travel trends, destinations, promotions, visa rules, and airline policies.

Prepare customized itineraries and travel quotes for clients.

Conduct presentations and promotional events if needed.

Coordination & Documentation

Coordinate with operations, ticketing, and visa departments to ensure smooth delivery of services.

Maintain accurate records of sales, client communications, and transactions using CRM software or travel booking systems.

Reporting & Feedback

Prepare daily/weekly reports on sales performance.
-
Provide feedback to management on customer preferences and market trends.

Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Business, Marketing, or related field.

1–3 years of experience in travel agency sales or a similar role preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong customer service and negotiation skills.

Knowledge of GDS (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre) is an added advantage.

Ability to work independently and meet targets.

Typically full-time (10 AM – 7 PM), including weekends or holidays depending on customer requirements or travel seasons.
