Job Description
India Post Payments Bank Ltd. (IPPB), a government-owned entity operating under the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, is committed to providing accessible, simple, and secure financial services to every Indian citizen. As part of its mission to promote financial inclusion, IPPB is looking for dedicated and proactive Sales Executives to support its outreach efforts and facilitate the delivery of digital financial services across the country.
As a Sales Executive at IPPB, you will play a crucial role in expanding the bank’s customer base, increasing awareness about financial products, and ensuring seamless customer service. This is a field-based and target-driven role that requires excellent interpersonal skills, a basic understanding of banking and financial products, and the ability to engage with customers from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Acquisition

Promote and market IPPB’s financial products and services, including savings and current accounts, digital banking services, and third-party products like insurance and mutual funds.

Acquire new customers by conducting door-to-door campaigns, participating in financial literacy camps, and engaging with communities through various outreach channels.

Maintain a strong relationship with the local post office staff to leverage India Post’s extensive network for customer engagement.

Identify prospective customers, explain the benefits of IPPB products, and onboard them through appropriate KYC-compliant processes.
2. Sales of Financial Products

Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets set by IPPB for various financial products.

Promote digital banking solutions such as the IPPB mobile banking app, QR card, AePS (Aadhaar-enabled Payment System), and assisted banking services.

Upsell and cross-sell IPPB’s financial and insurance products to existing customers, ensuring proper understanding and benefit of the services offered.

Generate leads for third-party financial products such as term insurance, life insurance, and recurring deposit schemes.
3. Customer Relationship Management

Ensure high-quality customer service during and after the sales process.

Assist customers with onboarding, activation of accounts, and transaction queries.

Provide timely updates to customers regarding new product offerings, account status, and promotional campaigns.

Handle and resolve basic grievances related to service delivery or account operations and escalate complex issues to branch officials or supervisors.
4. Field and Documentation Work

Maintain records of customer interactions, account openings, and product sales.

Complete necessary documentation and ensure compliance with the KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) guidelines.

Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to the designated officer or team leader.

Travel within the assigned territory or village cluster as required to meet potential customers and attend meetings or training sessions.
5. Collaboration and Coordination

Coordinate closely with Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), Postmen, and Branch Postmasters to ensure last-mile delivery of banking services.

Attend regular team meetings and training sessions organized by IPPB for skill enhancement, product updates, and compliance briefings.

Contribute to achieving the branch’s overall business goals and objectives.
