Job Summary
A Sales Executive is responsible for generating revenue by selling products or services to customers through effective communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. This role involves identifying potential customers, understanding their needs, offering suitable products or solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
Sales Executive serve as the link between the company and its clients, playing a key role in increasing brand awareness, expanding market reach, and achieving business growth targets. The position requires a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and motivation to meet and exceed sales targets.
This role may involve fieldwork, telephonic or in-person meetings, and follow-ups, depending on the business model (B2B, B2C, or retail sales).
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Acquisition and Lead Generation

Identify new sales opportunities through networking, cold calling, social media, referrals, and lead generation tools.

Approach potential customers in person or via telephone, email, and other communication platforms.

Follow up on leads provided by the marketing or customer support teams.
2. Sales Presentation and Product Demonstration

Present, promote, and sell products or services to existing and prospective customers.

Customize presentations according to customer requirements and pain points.

Clearly explain pricing structures, promotional offers, and financing options (if applicable).
3. Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers.

Address customer needs, concerns, and queries in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain regular follow-ups to ensure post-sale satisfaction and repeat business.
4. Target Achievement

Meet and exceed assigned sales targets on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Monitor own performance and report to the Sales Manager with updates and forecasts.

Participate in team meetings, sales reviews, and training programs.
5. Market Research and Competitor Analysis

Stay updated with industry trends, competitor products, pricing, and marketing strategies.

Provide feedback to the marketing team about customer behavior and product preferences.

Identify areas for market expansion and suggest improvements in sales strategies.
6. Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of sales, customer details, and follow-up schedules.

Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and performance metrics.

Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and standards.
7. Coordination and Team Support

Collaborate with team members, marketing, customer support, and logistics departments.

Coordinate with the finance or billing team for invoicing and payment follow-ups.

Participate in exhibitions, trade shows, and promotional events if required.
