Job Summary
A Sales Executive in the Prefab Industry is responsible for driving sales and promoting prefabricated (modular or pre-engineered) buildings and structures such as site offices, labor accommodations, portable cabins, container homes, warehouses, or commercial units. This role involves generating new business leads, meeting prospective clients (contractors, builders, corporates, government agencies), understanding project requirements, offering customized prefab solutions, and closing sales deals.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical understanding of prefab construction systems, be able to communicate the advantages of prefab over conventional building methods, and build long-term client relationships. This is a field-oriented, target-driven role best suited for individuals with a passion for construction sales and customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation and Business Development

Identify and approach potential customers through field visits, cold calling, online inquiries, referrals, and networking within construction and infrastructure sectors.

Target key sectors such as construction companies, infrastructure contractors, industrial clients, educational institutions, hospitals, real estate developers, and government bodies.

Generate project-based leads by monitoring tenders, upcoming construction projects, and infrastructure developments.
2. Client Interaction and Solution Selling

Meet clients in-person or virtually to understand their requirements for prefab buildings – size, usage, site conditions, timelines, and budget.

Present product catalogues, design options, technical specifications, and cost estimates.

Offer consultative solutions based on the client’s project scope and suggest customized prefab options (PUF panels, sandwich panels, containerized units, steel structures, etc.).

Clarify all client queries and concerns about material quality, insulation, lifespan, portability, installation time, etc.
3. Sales Process Management

Prepare and send quotations, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and commercial offers tailored to each project.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contract details with clients.

Follow up consistently to convert enquiries into confirmed orders.

Coordinate with the design, production, and installation teams for timely delivery and execution of projects.
4. Market and Competitor Research

Stay informed about market trends in prefabricated structures, pricing, and innovations.

Track competitor offerings and develop value propositions that highlight the company’s advantages (speed, cost, customisation, durability, etc.).

Provide feedback from the field to the management to improve product offerings and pricing strategies.
5. Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.

Provide after-sales support including site visits, status updates, and resolution of client issues during execution.

Maintain customer satisfaction by delivering quality service throughout the sales cycle.
6. Reporting and Documentation

Maintain accurate sales records, customer data, project status updates, and order details in CRM or Excel sheets.

Prepare daily/weekly reports on visits made, leads generated, enquiries converted, and revenue achieved.

Assist in preparing sales forecasts and setting monthly targets.

Excellent verbal and written communication to present prefab solutions convincingly.

Ability to prepare and deliver professional product demos and sales pitches.

Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory to meet clients and visit project sites.
