Sales Intern
Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales intern located in Pune. The Sales intern will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, maintaining relationships with clients, and achieving sales targets. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting potential clients, conducting sales presentations, negotiating contracts, and providing exceptional customer service. The Sales intern will also be expected to report sales activities and outcomes to management and collaborate with the marketing team to
develop sales strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven academic experience in sales, account management, or similar roles
• Ability to achieve and surpass sales targets
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of the networking platforms is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English is must
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

Identify and research potential clients through online platforms, directories, and social media.

Assist in generating qualified leads for the sales team.

Contact prospective clients via calls, emails, or messages to introduce the company and its products or services.

Maintain a database of potential leads with updated contact information and interaction history.
2. Sales Support

Assist sales executives in preparing presentations, proposals, and pitch materials.

Schedule appointments and meetings between sales executives and prospective clients.

Support the sales team in follow-ups with clients and prospects.

Help in tracking sales targets, performance metrics, and progress reports.
3. Market Research & Analysis

Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target markets.

Gather data to support sales strategies, campaigns, and promotional activities.

Analyze customer preferences, buying patterns, and feedback to help refine sales approaches.
4. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of calls, emails, meetings, and leads.

Update the CRM system, spreadsheets, or sales dashboards regularly.

Provide daily or weekly reports to the sales manager regarding progress and challenges.

Document customer queries, complaints, or suggestions for further action.
5. Collaboration & Teamwork

Work closely with sales executives, marketing teams, and operations to support campaigns.

Attend team meetings and training sessions to learn sales techniques and company processes.

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and execution of sales strategies.
6. Learning & Skill Development

Gain practical experience in telecalling, client handling, and sales pitch delivery.
