Job Title : Sales Intern
Location : Orissa (Ganjam, Rourkela, Balangir, Balasore, Khordha)
Interns: ₹18,000 per month (Stipend) - Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) will be extended based on performance

Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Intern to join our growing team and gain hands-on experience in sales, client communication, and lead generation. This internship is designed to provide real-world exposure to the sales cycle, including prospecting, pitching, negotiation, and customer relationship management.

As a Sales Intern, you will support the sales team in day-to-day tasks, learn about our products or services, assist in generating leads, participate in client interactions, and help in closing deals. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to explore a career in sales, develop professional skills, and contribute to business growth.

No prior sales experience is required, but a willingness to learn, confidence in communication, and a results-oriented mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation and Prospecting

  • Research potential clients through online sources, databases, and business directories.

  • Build and maintain a list of leads based on industry, location, and product interest.

  • Initiate outreach via email, phone, or social media platforms to connect with prospects.

  • Assist in qualifying leads by understanding their needs, budget, and timeline.

2. Sales Support and Coordination

  • Work alongside the sales team to support sales calls, meetings, or follow-ups.

  • Prepare basic sales presentations, pitch decks, or introductory emails.

  • Help in setting up and confirming appointments or product demos.

  • Track client communications and update CRM tools with relevant data.

3. Client Interaction and Communication

  • Attend meetings with sales executives or independently communicate with leads, under guidance.

  • Share product or service information in a professional and convincing manner.

  • Learn to handle basic client objections and refer complex queries to senior staff.

  • Provide timely updates to clients regarding proposals, pricing, or next steps.

4. Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of leads contacted, responses received, and outcomes achieved.

  • Prepare weekly progress reports summarizing activities, meetings attended, and learning takeaways.

  • Assist in documenting client feedback and market insights that can improve sales strategy.

5. Learning and Development

  • Participate in training sessions related to sales techniques, product knowledge, and communication skills.

  • Shadow senior sales executives to learn about advanced sales processes and negotiation.

  • Engage in mock sales calls or presentations for practice and feedback.

  • Complete assigned tasks or mini-projects that build practical knowledge in B2B or B2C sales.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (and local language if required).

  • Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.

  • Comfortable making calls, writing emails, and speaking with clients confidently.

  • A proactive attitude with the ability to learn quickly and work independently.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Reliable internet connection and laptop (for remote internships).
