Sales Man
Job Description
- Should guide store visitors and sell the products.
- Responsible for all stores functions.
- Shall be responsible for maintaining all store records.
- Preparation of stocks statements.
- Preparation of Purchase Orders.
- Day to day issues and receipts, ledgers, stock statement reports and DMR
- Preparation of Daily & Monthly Consumption Report.
- Checking of received Material with invoice and purchase order.
Required Skills:
- Should have computer Knowledge
- Good listening, presentation and decision making skills
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Assistance
-
Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and offer assistance.

Understand customer needs and suggest suitable products.

Answer questions related to product features, prices, discounts, and availability.

Demonstrate product use when applicable (for electronics, home appliances, garments, etc.).

Provide recommendations based on customer preferences and trends.
2. Sales and Billing
-
Drive sales by actively engaging with customers and promoting store products.
-
Ensure timely and accurate billing at the cash counter (if assigned).

Handle cash, card, or digital payments and issue receipts properly.
-
Promote ongoing offers, discounts, or loyalty programs.
-
Meet or exceed daily/weekly sales targets set by the store manager.
3. Product Display and Merchandising
-
Arrange products neatly and attractively on shelves and racks.
-
Refill stock regularly and ensure no shelves are empty.
-
Update price tags and promotional boards as per instructions.
-
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor and display areas.
4. Stock and Inventory Support
-
Monitor inventory levels and inform the manager when items are running low.
-
Help with loading/unloading of stock during deliveries.
-
Organize stockroom items and assist in monthly stock audits (if required).
5. Customer Service and Complaint Handling
-
Politely resolve customer complaints or refer them to the supervisor.

Assist in exchange or return procedures as per store policy.
-
Collect customer feedback and report it to the manager for improvement.
6. Store Operations Support

Open and close the store as per the assigned shift (if required).
-
Follow safety and hygiene guidelines for staff and customers.
-
Assist during festive seasons, promotional events, or weekend rush periods.
