Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager - Distribution Sales to lead and grow our product sales through a well-structured distributor and channel partner network. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of B2B and distribution-based sales strategies, excellent relationship management skills, and a results-oriented approach.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and managing a network of distributors, dealers, and retailers, ensuring consistent secondary sales growth, availability of products across regions, and strong execution of trade marketing and promotional activities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to promote books, journals, magazines, or digital content.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key clients, distributors, retailers, academic institutions, libraries, and corporate partners.
- Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives or account executives.
- Set sales goals and KPIs, and track performance through reporting tools and CRM systems.
- Collaborate with marketing and editorial teams to align sales campaigns with publication calendars and market trends.
- Attend industry events, book fairs, and conferences to represent the company and build networks.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and quarterly performance reviews.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify new opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and bulk deals with clients and partners.
