Job Summary:
The Sales Manager Executive - General Insurance is responsible for promoting and selling general insurance products such as health insurance, motor insurance, travel insurance, home insurance, and commercial insurance policies to individual and corporate clients. This role involves lead generation, customer relationship management, achieving sales targets, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of general insurance products, excellent communication skills, and a sales-driven mindset. This is a performance-oriented role with opportunities for career growth in the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Insurance Product Sales:

Promote and sell general insurance products such as:

Motor Insurance (Car, Two-Wheeler)

Health Insurance
-
Travel Insurance
-
Home and Property Insurance
-
Commercial Insurance (Marine, Fire, Liability, etc.)

Understand the unique needs of customers and suggest suitable policies and coverage.

Educate customers about premium amounts, policy terms, claim procedures, and benefits.
2. Lead Generation & Conversion:

Identify new customers through cold calls, field visits, referrals, online leads, and partnerships.

Follow up with leads generated through marketing campaigns or digital channels.

Schedule appointments, conduct product presentations, and convert leads into sales.
3. Customer Relationship Management:

Build strong, long-term relationships with individual and corporate clients.

Provide timely follow-up for renewals, policy upgrades, and customer queries.

Act as a point of contact for post-sales services like documentation and claims assistance.
4. Sales Targets & Performance:

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as set by the company.

Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to improve productivity.

Participate in regular sales reviews, meetings, and performance evaluations.
5. Market Awareness & Competitor Analysis:

Stay updated on the latest trends in general insurance and competitor offerings.

Suggest improvements in offerings, pricing, or customer service based on market research.

Contribute ideas for marketing campaigns and sales promotions.
6. Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure accurate documentation of all insurance sales, including application forms, KYC, and policy issuance.

Adhere to regulatory guidelines as per IRDAI (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India).

Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling customer information.
