A Sales Manager plays a key role in driving a company’s revenue growth by planning, implementing, and managing the sales strategy. Key Responsibilities
A. Sales Strategy & Planning

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve organizational goals.

Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.

Set sales targets, budgets, and KPIs for the team to ensure maximum performance.

Prepare quarterly and annual business development plans aligned with the company’s objectives.

Collaborate with the marketing team to design promotional campaigns and lead generation strategies.
B. Team Leadership & Development

Recruit, train, and mentor a team of sales executives, business development officers, and telecallers.

Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to improve productivity.

Motivate and guide the team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.

Foster a high-performance, goal-oriented, and collaborative sales culture.
C. Business Development & Client Management

Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and lead generation.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and agreements to maximize profitability.

Act as the primary point of contact for high-value clients and resolve escalated concerns effectively.
D. Sales Operations & Reporting

Oversee the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.

Track sales performance, pipelines, and forecasts using CRM tools.

Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to senior management.

Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to credit policies.
E. Market Analysis & Expansion

Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences.

Explore untapped territories and design expansion strategies to increase market share.

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging products, and competitors’ offerings.

Recommend improvements to the product mix, pricing, and sales processes.
F. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with the marketing team to align campaigns with sales objectives.

Collaborate with the product development team to provide client feedback and suggest enhancements.

Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.

Liaise with finance and accounts for billing, invoicing, and revenue tracking.
