Job Summary:
A Sales Manager is responsible for leading and driving the company’s sales operations within a defined territory, segment, or business unit. This includes developing strategies, setting targets, managing the sales team, expanding the customer base, and increasing revenue through structured planning and execution.
The Sales Manager plays a key leadership role in identifying opportunities, solving market challenges, and building strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. This role requires excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in sales processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Planning:

Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with company objectives.

Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.

Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals for the team and the territory.

Collaborate with marketing teams to align campaigns with sales priorities.
2. Team Management and Leadership:

Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales executives, area sales officers, or representatives.

Assign sales territories, quotas, and performance targets.

Monitor performance, provide coaching, and conduct regular sales meetings or reviews.

Motivate the team to exceed sales targets through recognition, incentives, and support.
3. Client Acquisition and Relationship Building:

Build strong relationships with key customers, distributors, retailers, or partners.

Participate in high-value negotiations and close deals directly with important clients.

Ensure top-quality client service before and after the sale to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Attend client meetings, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company.
4. Sales Operations and Execution:

Supervise daily sales activities, ensure proper lead management and follow-ups.

Ensure adherence to sales processes, documentation, and CRM usage.

Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for management.

Monitor inventory, pricing, credit policies, and payment collections.
5. Market Development and Expansion:

Identify new business opportunities in untapped regions or customer segments.

Assist in product launches, promotions, and regional marketing efforts.

Collect market feedback and report it to the product or marketing teams.
