Job Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve or exceed the company’s revenue goals. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and ensuring excellent customer service. The Sales Manager plays a key role in developing and mentoring a high-performing sales team and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy and Planning

Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet organizational objectives.

Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.

Set short- and long-term sales targets in alignment with company goals.

Create and manage sales budgets and forecasts.
2. Team Leadership and Management

Recruit, train, and develop a professional and results-driven sales team.

Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans when needed.
3. Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and business partners.

Identify client needs and ensure solutions are delivered effectively and on time.

Handle major customer accounts and resolve any issues or complaints that arise.

Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
4. Sales Operations and Reporting

Monitor and analyze sales metrics, including revenue, profitability, and conversion rates.

Prepare detailed reports for senior management on sales performance, forecasts, and trends.

Utilize CRM tools to manage sales pipelines, client communications, and data analytics.

Ensure accurate and timely documentation of sales activities and client information.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with the marketing department to align campaigns and promotions with sales strategies.

Work closely with product development and customer service teams to ensure customer feedback is incorporated.

Coordinate with finance to ensure pricing, invoicing, and collections processes are smooth and efficient.
6. Continuous Improvement

Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging market trends.

Requirements and Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.

A master’s degree (MBA) is a plus.
Experience:

Minimum years of sales experience, with at least in a supervisory or managerial role.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., retail, B2B, SaaS] is preferred.
