Job Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced and result-driven Sales Manager with a proven background in sales of sanitary products, construction materials, blue metals, plywoods, or related building materials. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in B2B, field sales, or dealer/distributor channel sales, and must possess excellent communication skills in both English and Hindi.

This is a field-oriented leadership role, requiring a candidate who can not only manage a sales team but also actively drive revenue growth, build strong client relationships, and expand market presence in the region. Only male candidates will be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.

  • Plan and execute business development activities across assigned product categories: sanitaryware, plywoods, construction materials, and more.

  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.

  • Ensure daily/weekly/monthly sales planning and performance tracking.

2. Business Development & Client Handling:

  • Identify, approach, and convert new clients, contractors, builders, architects, and institutional buyers.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as distributors, dealers, and project consultants.

  • Conduct field visits regularly to strengthen client engagement and gather feedback.

3. Team Supervision and Training:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Sales Executives or Territory Managers, guiding them in achieving their targets.

  • Conduct regular training sessions for product knowledge, sales techniques, and client handling.

  • Motivate the team through goal-setting, performance tracking, and coaching.

4. Channel and Territory Management:

  • Expand the channel partner network (dealers/distributors) in untapped areas.

  • Resolve channel conflicts and ensure healthy business relations with partners.

  • Optimize territory coverage and customer engagement through proper routing and field planning.

5. Reporting and Forecasting:

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, sales performance, and pipeline updates.

  • Submit timely reports to senior management on sales targets, achievements, market challenges, and customer feedback.

  • Forecast monthly/quarterly sales and align stock and logistics planning accordingly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is an added advantage.

  • Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in B2B sales, preferably in construction-related sectors (sanitaryware, building materials, blue metals, plywoods, hardware, etc.).

  • Sales Acumen: Deep understanding of the sales cycle, customer decision-making process, and construction material trade.

  • Language Skills: Must be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken). Regional language proficiency is a plus.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiar with CRM tools, sales tracking apps, Microsoft Office, and digital reporting tools.

  • Travel: Willing to travel extensively within assigned regions/territories.
