Job Description
Job Summary:
A Sales Manager is responsible for leading a sales team, developing strategies to increase revenue, and ensuring sales targets are met. They oversee sales planning, team performance, customer relationship management, and business development to drive company growth. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and market knowledge to identify opportunities and expand the customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business targets.
- Identify new market opportunities and customer segments.
- Forecast sales, analyze market trends, and adjust plans accordingly.
2. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales executives or representatives.
- Set performance goals, monitor progress, and conduct regular reviews.
- Motivate and coach team members to improve productivity.
3. Business Development & Customer Acquisition
- Identify and acquire new B2B or B2C customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Negotiate and close deals to maximize revenue.
4. Market Research & Competitor Analysis
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences.
- Monitor competitor activities and pricing strategies.
- Provide insights to improve product offerings and sales tactics.
5. Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance insights.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance teams to align sales efforts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
