  • 2+ years of experience selling in the digital advertising space with a technology solutions company or similar
  • Experience taking new business from prospect to paying account
  • Strong work ethic with a track record of meeting and exceeding performance goals and delivering consistent, ongoing new business
  • Resourceful and creative thinker
  • Strong knowledge of the ad technology and digital media landscape
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Experience working in a start-up environment a plus

It is your job to develop new leads, cold call potential clients, manage existing customer relationships and close the deal, either over the telephone or in person, with the aim of maximizing sales revenues, increasing your client portfolio and hitting targets. Essentially, you'll be selling digital space.


  • Persuading clients to buy advertising space
  • Finding out who controls the advertising budget in target organisations and contacting them
  • Explaining the benefits of your medium, using statistics on readership or viewing figures
  • Offering a price and negotiating around it
  • Closing the deal and recording the details
  • The candidate would be required to positively increase the sales revenue for the Advertising dept., through quality customer service as well as expanding the new customer base.
  • He/she will be required to explain to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible.
  • As part of the responsibility, he/she would be required to maintain assigned account bases while developing new ones.
  • Conduct market research to determine current advertising trends and requirements.
  • To Initiate and manage discussion and sales with sponsor and agencies.
  • Managing the development of sales materials, including media kits.
  • As part of the daily duties, he/she would be required to call on potential customers, as well as educate the client on all offerings pertaining to the media portfolio.
  • He/she would also be required to conduct presentations about the existing as well as new types of media opportunities, apart from performing needs assessments.
  •  Conceptualize sales strategies to address client challenges
  • The candidate will also be responsible for developing quotes as well as preparing contracts, including collection of due payment.
  • Prepare budget forecasts and accurate reporting as and when required.
  • Ensures the relevant media rate cards are a true depiction of market norms and client expectations.
  • Manage inventory and scheduling of all media spaces within the portfolio
