Business Development Executive
Job Description
- Should have a good knowledge in IT Sales and services. Candidates with good knowledge in structured cabling, fiber technologies, Routers, switches, EPABX and wireless technologies are preferred.
- Developing long-term relationships with clients, through managing and understanding their requirements
- Understanding customers' diverse, specific business needs and applying product knowledge to meet those needs
- Meeting sales targets set by managers and contributing to team targets
- Networking with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades;
- Working on after-sales support services and providing technical back up as required;
- Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs;
Work experience
Experience of a customer service or sales environment will improve your chances of securing a job. Potential employers will be particularly impressed if you can demonstrate evidence of exceeding sales targets and the ability to build successful customer relationships.
Any sales experience may therefore be helpful, including working in a call centre or telemarketing or door to door sales role, where sales skills and the ability to meet targets are illustrated.
