Position Overview:
A Sales Officer is responsible for generating revenue by promoting and selling a company's products or services to customers, both new and existing. This role requires a mix of fieldwork and relationship-building to expand the customer base, ensure customer satisfaction, and meet or exceed sales targets. The Sales Officer acts as a key touchpoint between the company and the market, ensuring that the products offered meet the needs of the target audience.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Generation:

Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, field visits, networking, and social media.

Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.

Follow up on leads and convert inquiries into sales.
2. Customer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.

Provide post-sale support and ensure customer satisfaction with the product or service.

Handle customer complaints or objections professionally and escalate them when necessary.
3. Target Achievement:

Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets set by the company.

Work under pressure to deliver sales numbers within tight deadlines.

Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations or demonstrations on products/services.

Ensure consistent pipeline of sales prospects and timely follow-ups.
4. Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and orders using CRM or internal systems.

Submit daily/weekly reports to the manager regarding sales activities, progress, and challenges.

Provide insights and feedback on customer preferences, competitor activities, and market trends.
5. Territory and Account Management:

Manage sales in the assigned territory or segment, developing strategies to increase sales in that area.

Maintain a detailed understanding of the assigned market, customer profile, and competitors.

Conduct visits to retailers, distributors, and/or end customers as per the sales plan.
6. Coordination and Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with marketing, customer service, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth order processing and client satisfaction.

Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and promotional events.

Work closely with peers to share best practices and collectively contribute to team targets.
