Job Summary:
A Sales Officer plays a critical role in driving the revenue of a company by promoting and selling its products or services to customers. The role involves meeting sales targets, maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding customer needs, and providing appropriate solutions. Sales Officers are responsible for both developing new customer relationships and maintaining existing ones, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Generation:

Identify potential customers and generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, social media, and field visits.

Visit prospective clients to present company products and services and convert inquiries into confirmed sales.

Meet or exceed assigned sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Conduct product demonstrations and explain features and benefits to clients in a persuasive and professional manner.

Follow up on leads provided by the company and self-generated leads to convert them into successful sales.
2. Customer Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers to ensure repeat business.

Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.

Ensure customer satisfaction through after-sales support and follow-ups.

Build long-term partnerships by understanding customer needs and offering appropriate solutions.
3. Market Analysis:

Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve product offerings and sales strategies.

Provide market intelligence reports to the management for decision-making and strategy development.
4. Sales Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, orders, and follow-ups using CRM software or manual logs.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and present them to the Sales Manager.

Ensure timely submission of required documentation including contracts, payment receipts, and customer verification details.
5. Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the marketing team to align promotional strategies with customer outreach efforts.

Collaborate with other departments like logistics, finance, and customer service to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.

Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
