Job Overview
A Sales Promoter is responsible for promoting products, generating leads, and increasing sales through direct customer interaction, product demonstrations, and brand representation. The role involves engaging with potential customers, explaining product features, providing solutions, and influencing purchasing decisions to achieve sales targets.
This position requires excellent communication skills, persuasive selling techniques, and an energetic personality to effectively promote products and services in retail outlets, malls, exhibitions, events, and other customer-facing environments.
Key Responsibilities
A. Product Promotion & Demonstration

Actively promote products and services to potential customers in retail stores, supermarkets, malls, and promotional events.

Conduct live demonstrations to showcase product features, quality, and benefits.

Distribute marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and samples to attract customer attention.

Represent the brand in a professional and engaging manner to create a strong impression on customers.
B. Customer Engagement & Sales Conversion

Approach walk-in customers and initiate friendly conversations to understand their needs.

Provide accurate information about products, pricing, offers, and discounts.

Recommend products based on customer preferences and requirements.

Assist customers with product trials, handling queries, and resolving basic objections.

Upsell and cross-sell products wherever possible to increase sales revenue.
C. Achieving Sales Targets

Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals assigned by the management.

Monitor personal and team performance to ensure target achievement.

Collaborate with supervisors and managers to plan strategies for boosting sales.

D. Market & Customer Feedback

Gather customer insights on product preferences, complaints, and suggestions.

Share feedback with the marketing and product teams for product improvement.

Stay updated on market trends, competitor promotions, and pricing strategies.

Provide ideas for new promotional campaigns and marketing strategies.
E. Inventory & Merchandising

Ensure products are properly displayed and arranged in attractive ways.

Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors about replenishment needs.

Maintain cleanliness and organization at the product display area.

Verify the accuracy of pricing labels, promotional tags, and product information.
F. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain daily sales reports and submit them to the sales supervisor or manager.

Record customer interactions, product inquiries, and potential leads.

Track product performance and promotional campaign effectiveness.

Provide feedback regarding stock shortages, slow-moving products, or high-demand items.
