Job Summary
The Sales Representative plays a critical role in executing our market outreach strategy, engaging directly with farmers, cooperatives, aggregators, and crop buyers to drive adoption of our platform and services. This position requires a blend of fieldwork, customer relationship management, product knowledge, and strategic sales execution.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, persuasive communicator who understands the agricultural landscape and is passionate about improving lives through technology. You will serve as the face of our company in your assigned territory, fostering trust with rural communities while promoting a data-driven and digitally enabled approach to farming and marketing produce.
Key Responsibilities
1. Farmer and Buyer Onboarding

Identify and recruit new farmers and crop buyers to join our digital marketplace.

Organize and lead field demonstrations, meetings, and training sessions to explain platform benefits.

Educate stakeholders on how to use mobile or web-based solutions for selling, tracking, and managing crops.
2. Sales Strategy Execution

Implement territory-specific sales strategies to meet growth and revenue targets.

Promote platform features such as real-time pricing, logistics support, input recommendations, and financing access.

Track and report sales conversions, user engagement, and market feedback using CRM tools.
3. Relationship Building

Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with farmers, cooperatives, buyers, and local influencers.

Serve as a reliable point of contact, understanding customer needs and addressing concerns effectively.

Collaborate with agricultural extension officers, NGOs, and government agencies to boost outreach.
4. Market Intelligence and Reporting

Monitor crop trends, seasonal demands, competitor activity, and pricing fluctuations.

Collect field-level insights to support product development and marketing strategies.

Submit regular reports on sales performance, farmer satisfaction, and buyer engagement.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with the Marketing, Operations, Agronomy, and Product teams to align field insights with business objectives.

Assist in the coordination of logistics and quality checks during crop deliveries.

Provide feedback on app functionality, user experience, and product performance in the field.
