Job Description

Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our Rooftop Solar Sales team in Bihar. The candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling solar rooftop solutions to both domestic and commercial clients. This role involves lead generation, client interaction, product presentations, site assessments, and closing sales.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for renewable energy, excellent communication skills, and a target-driven mindset. The position offers a fixed salary structure along with attractive incentives, where high performers can earn up to three times their monthly take-home salary.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify potential domestic and commercial customers interested in rooftop solar solutions.

  • Generate leads through cold calling, field visits, referrals, local events, and digital campaigns.

  • Build a strong pipeline of prospects across residential colonies, commercial complexes, factories, and business hubs.

  • Maintain an updated database of prospective clients and opportunities.

2. Client Engagement & Consultation

  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations for potential customers.

  • Understand the client’s energy requirements, consumption patterns, and budget constraints.

  • Explain financial benefits, ROI (Return on Investment), and cost-saving advantages of rooftop solar solutions.

  • Provide customized solar solutions based on site feasibility and energy needs.

3. Site Visits & Technical Coordination

  • Visit client locations to assess roof size, structure, and solar exposure.

  • Coordinate with the technical team to conduct detailed feasibility studies.

  • Explain technical specifications to clients in a clear and simple manner.

  • Assist in preparing quotations, proposals, and project estimates.

4. Sales Closure & Negotiation

  • Effectively negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contract agreements.

  • Ensure timely closure of deals while meeting monthly and quarterly sales targets.

  • Work closely with the management team to ensure smooth project approvals.

  • Assist clients in understanding available government subsidies, tax benefits, and financing options.

5. After-Sales Support

  • Act as a point of contact between the client and the company during installation.

  • Ensure a smooth handover process after project completion.

  • Provide basic training to clients regarding system usage and maintenance.

  • Maintain healthy long-term client relationships for future business and referrals.

6. Market Research & Reporting

  • Keep track of market trends, competitor activities, and new developments in the solar energy sector.

  • Gather insights on pricing strategies, consumer behavior, and industry regulations.

  • Submit weekly reports on lead generation, conversions, and revenue performance.

  • Suggest strategies to improve sales and enhance customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Competencies

1. Technical & Sales Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of solar energy, rooftop solutions, and power generation.

  • Knowledge of solar panels, inverters, batteries, and net metering processes.

  • Familiarity with Bihar State Renewable Energy policies and subsidy schemes.

  • Strong capability to explain technical solutions in simple language to customers.

2. Sales & Negotiation Skills

  • Proven ability to sell products and close deals.

  • Confident in price negotiations and objection handling.

  • Persuasive, proactive, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment.

3. Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Hindi and English.

  • Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.

  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients across diverse backgrounds.

4. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Ability to analyze customer requirements and propose customized solutions.

  • Competence in preparing ROI reports and cost-benefit analyses.
