Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Visit and Sales Execution

Visit 15–25 automobile spare parts shops, garages, or service centers daily across Thanjavur and nearby towns.

Promote and sell a full range of engine oils for two-wheelers, four-wheelers, LCVs, HCVs, and commercial vehicles.

Explain product features, grades (e.g., 10W-30, 15W-40), benefits (mineral, semi-synthetic, synthetic), and compatibility with different engines.

Offer suitable engine oil variants based on vehicle types and customer preferences.
2. Customer Relationship Building
-
Develop strong, long-term relationships with shop owners, counter staff, mechanics, and decision-makers.

Address their concerns related to pricing, product availability, performance, and warranty.

Provide regular follow-ups to ensure repeat orders and timely replenishment.

Educate customers on new product launches or schemes.
3. Order Generation and Processing
-
Take orders manually or through mobile sales apps as per company process.
-
Ensure correct SKU selection and timely collection of order details.

Coordinate with the distribution or logistics team to ensure timely deliveries.
-
Manage returns, feedback, and complaints professionally.
4. Sales Reporting and Documentation
-
Maintain a daily sales report including shops visited, calls made, and orders booked.
-
Record retailer feedback, competitor activity, and pricing trends.

Submit reports to the sales manager at regular intervals (daily/weekly/monthly).

Track secondary and tertiary sales metrics as required.
5. Promotions and Schemes
-
Communicate ongoing promotional schemes, discounts, or loyalty programs to shopkeepers.
-
Distribute leaflets, product catalogs, point-of-sale (POS) material, or free samples where applicable.

Encourage bulk purchases through dealer offers and incentives.
-
Assist in organizing mechanic meets, product awareness campaigns, or in-shop branding.
6. Market Intelligence
-
Monitor and report competitor activities such as pricing, offers, distributor presence, and branding.

Identify new markets, new shops, or potential areas for expansion.
-
Share feedback on product performance from mechanics and end-users.
