Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Team Lead to oversee and guide our growing team of sales representatives. As a Sales Team Lead, your primary role is to drive team performance, ensure sales targets are met or exceeded, and create a motivating, supportive environment that encourages individual and collective success.
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining sales strategy, team coaching, and client engagement. You’ll work closely with senior management to implement sales plans, monitor KPIs, and continuously optimize the performance of your team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Management & Leadership

Supervise a team of [insert number] sales representatives, both field and/or inside sales.

2. Sales Strategy & Execution

Lead by example by handling key clients, closing high-value deals, or assisting team members with complex sales.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to adapt strategies accordingly.
3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Track individual and team KPIs (calls, meetings, demos, proposals, closures, revenue, etc.).

Analyze sales data and identify performance gaps or opportunities.

Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Sales Manager or higher authorities.

Use CRM tools or spreadsheets to record, manage, and analyze team activities and pipelines.
4. Client Relationship Management

Support the team in nurturing long-term relationships with key accounts and prospects.

Resolve escalated client issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Ensure the team delivers consistent, high-quality customer service and follows up effectively.
5. Recruitment & Onboarding Support

Assist in recruiting new sales team members, in coordination with HR and senior management.

Take part in onboarding and training of new joiners to quickly bring them up to speed.
6. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams

Work closely with the marketing team to align on lead generation and promotional activities.

Collaborate with operations, finance, and product teams to ensure smooth delivery and client satisfaction.

Give feedback from clients and the market to improve offerings and service delivery.
