Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Team Leader to lead our insurance sales team. The Sales Team Leader will be responsible for managing, guiding, and motivating the sales force to achieve set targets and deliver exceptional service to clients. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and deep knowledge of insurance products and sales strategies.
As a Sales Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of the business by supervising daily sales activities, mentoring team members, and coordinating with other departments to optimize client acquisition and retention.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Supervision

Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of insurance sales executives to achieve sales targets and KPIs.

Monitor daily sales activities and provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to improve performance.

Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and workshops to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Identify team members’ strengths and weaknesses and implement personalized development plans.
2. Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement effective sales strategies in line with company goals.

Plan and allocate daily/weekly/monthly sales targets to individual team members.

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt sales approaches.

Drive lead generation efforts and ensure timely follow-up on prospects.
3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Track individual and team sales performance using CRM and sales tracking tools.

Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and progress updates to management.

Address any performance gaps and implement corrective actions promptly.

Recognize and reward high-performing sales team members.
4. Client Relationship Management

Assist team members in managing key client relationships and complex sales.

Ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction across the team.

Handle escalated customer queries and resolve complaints professionally.

Promote cross-selling and up-selling of insurance products to maximize client value.
5. Compliance & Documentation

Ensure the team adheres to company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.

Oversee the proper documentation and submission of insurance applications, policy renewals, and claims.

Maintain accurate client records and sales data.
6. Coordination & Collaboration

Work closely with marketing, underwriting, and customer service departments to facilitate smooth operations.

Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new sales executives.

Assist in organizing promotional events and campaigns to boost sales.
