Job Summary:
The Sales Team Leader is responsible for managing a team of sales executives, driving revenue growth, ensuring team productivity, and achieving individual and team sales targets. This role combines strategic planning, team coaching, performance monitoring, and hands-on involvement in the sales process.
As a leader, you will serve as the bridge between upper management and the front-line sales team, translating business goals into actionable strategies. You will also be responsible for building team morale, motivating members, and creating a high-performance work environment.
This role is ideal for experienced sales professionals who possess leadership skills and enjoy mentoring, managing, and developing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management & Supervision:

Lead, supervise, and support a team of sales executives or representatives.

Allocate leads, tasks, and sales targets to team members based on territory, specialization, or market segments.

Monitor daily activities, client meetings, follow-ups, and closure efforts of each team member.

Ensure that each team member is meeting individual performance KPIs and adhering to company protocols.
2. Sales Strategy & Execution:

Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.

Help the team identify and convert prospects into paying customers.

Participate in client meetings and assist team members in complex negotiations or deal closures.

Maintain knowledge of competitors and market conditions to identify growth opportunities.
3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

Track and analyze team performance metrics like leads generated, conversions, sales volume, and customer feedback.

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for management.

Conduct regular reviews with team members to provide feedback and discuss improvement plans.

Maintain updated CRM records and ensure team compliance with data entry and client updates.
4. Training and Development:

Onboard and train new sales executives on product knowledge, company processes, and customer handling.

Conduct periodic training sessions to upskill the team in areas like sales techniques, objection handling, and product updates.

Identify skill gaps and create individual development plans to boost team capability.
5. Customer Relationship Management:

Support team members in building strong, long-term relationships with clients.

Intervene in key account escalations or customer dissatisfaction issues to retain business.

Ensure consistent client communication and professional follow-ups by the sales team.
6. Goal Setting & Motivation:

Set clear goals and incentives aligned with the company’s revenue objectives.
