Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Trainer to join our team and enhance the sales performance of our workforce. The Sales Trainer will be responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that align with our company’s sales goals and values. The ideal candidate has a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching and motivating others.
The role involves conducting training sessions, coaching sales staff on effective techniques, and ensuring new hires and existing team members are equipped to meet or exceed performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training Development & Delivery

Design, develop, and implement structured training programs for new and existing sales personnel.

Conduct onboarding training for new sales recruits to help them understand products, services, company values, and sales techniques.

Organize regular refresher training sessions for underperforming or evolving teams.
2. Sales Skill Enhancement

Teach effective sales strategies, objection handling, upselling, closing techniques, and customer interaction methods.

Create scripts, sales playbooks, and training materials (slides, manuals, videos) tailored to different levels of experience.

Introduce soft skills training such as negotiation, persuasion, time management, and active listening.
3. Product & Process Training

Ensure the sales team has up-to-date knowledge about product offerings, pricing, and USPs.

Train employees on sales tools like CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho), lead management systems, or communication platforms.

Work closely with product and marketing teams to understand new launches and convert product details into training content.
4. Coaching & Performance Feedback

Conduct one-on-one coaching and shadowing sessions with team members to identify gaps and improve techniques.

Provide actionable feedback based on call recordings, sales reports, or field visits.

Motivate and mentor struggling team members to boost performance and morale.
5. Assessment & Evaluation

Develop evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of training programs.

Assess trainee performance through quizzes, role plays, mock calls, or real-time sales observations.

Track and report training ROI through improvements in conversion rates, lead handling quality, and sales revenue.
6. Collaboration & Team Support

Work with sales managers to understand current challenges and training needs.

Customize training modules based on industry verticals, sales channels (B2B/B2C), or territory.

Coordinate with HR or L&D teams for maintaining training schedules and tracking employee participation.
