A Salesman is responsible for selling products or services to customers by understanding their needs, offering tailored solutions, and closing sales. Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Interaction and Sales:

Greet customers warmly and assess their needs by asking relevant questions to understand their preferences.

Explain product features, benefits, and usage, tailoring the pitch to suit the customer’s requirements and preferences.

Demonstrate the product's value proposition and highlight its advantages over competitors.

Handle customer objections effectively and use persuasive techniques to close sales.
2. Product Knowledge:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products, services, pricing, and current promotions.

Understand and communicate key product features, specifications, and advantages to the customer.

Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions to provide relevant advice and maintain a competitive edge.
3. Sales Targets and Performance:

Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by the sales manager or organization.

Regularly track and report sales figures, ensuring goals are met and any shortfalls are addressed proactively.

Work with the team to strategize and implement sales campaigns, seasonal promotions, and product launches.

Ensure sales performance aligns with the company’s objectives and growth strategy.
4. Customer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers by providing excellent service and follow-up after sales.

Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

Maintain a database of customer interactions, sales, and follow-ups, ensuring that future sales opportunities are tracked.

Provide after-sales support such as product assembly, installation, or guidance on usage as necessary.
5. Sales Documentation and Reporting:

Accurately document customer information, sales transactions, and any other relevant details in the company’s CRM or sales management system.

Prepare and submit sales reports, including forecasts, sales activity, and progress toward targets.

Record product inquiries, complaints, and returns, providing feedback to the product or quality control teams when necessary.
6. Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with fellow sales team members, managers, and other departments such as marketing or customer service to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and workshops to improve sales techniques, product knowledge, and overall performance.

7. Visual Merchandising and Store Maintenance (for retail sales):
