Designation - Scientist – C

Essential Qualification
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Bachelor Degree in Technology (BE/B.Tech) in
the fields/disciplines in Electronics, Communications, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering (IIT) from a
recognized Institute /University
And
Four (4) years post qualification experience related to design and development in the areas of
RF/Microwave systems, Millimeter Wave Systems, VLSI, Radar, Communications and
Antenna in Scientific R & D Institutions / Industry or in both.
OR
Post Graduate Degree in Engineering or Technology (ME / M.Tech/ MS ) in Microwaves, Radar,
VLSI, Electronics, Communications, Telecommunications, from a recognized University and Electrical Engineering (IIT)
AND
Two (2) years post qualification experience related to design and development in the areas of
RF/Microwave systems, Millimeter Wave Systems, VLSI, Radar, Communications and
Antenna in Scientific R & D Institutions / Industry or in both.
DESIRABLE:
PhD in Engineering (RF/Microwave,. Millimeter Wave, VLSI, Radar, Communications
and Antennas)
Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit Not Exceeding 35 years
Salary
- Pay Level: 11

JOB DESCRIPTION :
- Design, Development and testing of RF/Microwave components, calibration, characterization and integration of RF and Microwave Systems / Radar Systems, RFIC/MMIC design and fabrication, 5G/6G areas of communication etc.

SAMEER was set up as an autonomous R & D laboratory at Mumbai under the then Department of Electronics, Government of India with a broad mandate to undertake R & D work in the areas of Microwave Engineering and Electromagnetic Engineering Technology. It is an offshoot of the special microwave products unit (SMPU) set up in 1977 at the TATA INSTITUTE OF FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH (TIFR), Mumbai. SAMEER, Mumbai was setup in 1984. Centre for Electromagnetics, SAMEER Chennai which was under Department of Electronics (DOE) was merged with SAMEER in 1987.Centre for Microwave & Millimeterwave, SAMEER Kolkata was set up in 1994.Elecromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Laboratory, SAMEER Visakhapatnam was established in 2014. Centre for High Power Microwave Tube and Component Technology, SAMEER Guwahati was established in 2015.
