Sardar Patel Renewable Energy Research Institute (SPRERI) invites application for the position Research Associate I (Solar Energy Division)
Project entitled: “On-farm demonstration and performance analysis of an off-grid renewable energy driven cold storage”
Number of vacancy: 01
Essential Qualifications:
(i) PhD in Solar Energy/Renewable Energy with background in Physics / Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering.
(ii) Minimum two research articles published in SCI journals in the field of solar thermal / solar refrigeration.
Desirables:
(i) 2-3 years post PhD work experience in the area of solar refrigeration/solar energy technology development.
(ii) Strong data analysis, interpretation capabilities and experience of writing up and disseminating research findings.
(iii) Prior knowledge and experience in programming and working on TRNSYS, MATLAB, Python and ANSYS software.
(iv) Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Main duties:
- Design, develop and execution of experiments, data collection strategies and analysis of the data.
- Any other duties given by the Head of Research Group/Project PI commensurate with the level and responsibility of the post.
- Liaise with the academic and industrial project partners, policy-makers, practitioners and stakeholders.
- Prepare research papers for publication and make presentations at meetings and/or conferences.
- Assist in writing progress reports and organizing workshops/meeting to disseminate research output.
- Assist other researchers in the research group (ex.: student, junior researchers, and visitors) as and when required.
- Undertake any other relevant activities that may be agreed with the Head of the Research Group/Project PI and in line with respective funding body’s rules/regulations.
Duration: The appointment of RA is till June 2022 or till project co-terminates.
Emolument: The remuneration (consolidated) for RA-I will be as per DST norms.
