Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled SCADA and MIS Executive to support 24/7 system monitoring and reporting functions across our operations. This role is central to ensuring real-time visibility into plant and system performance by maintaining SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and compiling data-driven MIS (Management Information System) reports.

The role involves continuous monitoring of live operational data, identifying and addressing system alarms, coordinating with field teams for quick issue resolution, and ensuring comprehensive documentation. It is a shift-based position, requiring consistent attention to detail, strong coordination skills, and the ability to respond promptly to anomalies or system faults.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SCADA System Monitoring

• Continuously monitor SCADA screens to ensure real-time data availability and equipment status accuracy.

• Detect and respond to system anomalies, sensor failures, alarms, or equipment malfunctions.

• Ensure optimal SCADA system uptime and alert relevant personnel in the event of disruptions.

• Verify system data integrity through periodic system health checks.

2. Issue Identification and Coordination

• Promptly log and escalate alarms or unusual readings to relevant technical or field teams.

• Coordinate with field technicians and engineers to investigate and resolve SCADA-related issues.

• Track issue resolution progress and update alarm logs accordingly.

• Maintain professional communication between control room and field staff during emergencies or planned maintenance.

3. Data Collection and Analysis

• Capture, record, and analyze operational data from the SCADA system.

• Identify performance trends, inefficiencies, or deviations from standard operating values.

• Contribute insights and observations to assist engineering or management teams in process improvements.

4. MIS Reporting

• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports detailing plant performance, alarm frequency, downtimes, and key metrics.

• Ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting formats, units, and timeframes.

• Create customized reports on request from operations, maintenance, or management.

• Automate reporting where feasible using data tools, Excel, or SCADA-integrated software.

5. Documentation and Log Management

• Maintain digital and manual logs of system performance, shift handovers, alarms, events, and equipment status.

• Update operational manuals or shift SOPs as needed for compliance and knowledge transfer.

• Ensure backup and archival of all reports and logs for audit and review purposes.

Daily Routine Tasks (In Sequence):

1. System Check (Morning Start-Up):

   • Verify system health, SCADA communication status, and confirm equipment connectivity.

   • Ensure previous shift handover details are acknowledged and tasks are continued smoothly.

2. Live Data Monitoring:

   • Monitor key parameters such as pressure, temperature, flow rates, energy use, etc., in real-time.

   • Watch for fluctuations or values outside safe operating ranges.

3. Alarm Management:

   • Detect and document system-generated alarms.

   • Categorize alarms (critical, warning, information) and take appropriate follow-up actions.

4. Coordination:

   • Communicate anomalies to the maintenance or operations team.

   • Provide live support and system feedback to technicians in the field.

5. Data Analysis:

   • Observe patterns or irregularities in trends.

   • Assist with root cause identification by providing historical data.

6. Reporting:

   • Compile and format operational data into structured MIS reports.

   • Submit daily summary reports to relevant departments before end-of-shift.

7. Documentation:

   • Update logbooks, issue registers, and activity sheets.

   • Record observations, incidents, and resolutions.

8. Shift Handover:

   • Conduct proper shift handover by briefing the incoming team on ongoing issues, pending actions, and observations.

   • Ensure smooth transition between shifts without data loss or monitoring gaps.

Shift Work Details:

• This is a 24/7 monitoring role, requiring availability for rotational 8-hour shifts, including:

  • Day Shift

  • Evening Shift

  • Night Shift

• Rostered weekly offs will be provided as per company policy.

• Must be flexible to work weekends and public holidays, depending on the roster.
