Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Live Science Demonstrations & Presentations
-
Deliver dynamic and engaging science demonstrations at events, school visits, science fairs, and exhibitions.

Explain complex scientific concepts in a simple and entertaining manner.
-
Use props, models, and safe materials to conduct experiments in front of audiences.
-
Adapt delivery style based on audience age group (kids, students, general public).
2. Event Preparation & Coordination
-
Collaborate with the content and events team to prepare scripts, materials, and setup for upcoming events.
-
Ensure all science kits, tools, and safety gear are in place before each presentation.

Assist in arranging event venues, setting up stages or booths, and rehearsing show flow.
3. Audience Interaction & Engagement
-
Interact actively with the audience, involve volunteers from the crowd, and answer science-related queries.

Create an inclusive and exciting learning environment by encouraging curiosity and exploration.
-
Handle live Q&A sessions confidently and adapt to unexpected questions or reactions.
4. Educational Content Support
-
Assist in developing age-appropriate, curriculum-linked science content for outreach and public engagement.

Provide input on improving science activities, models, or storytelling techniques used in presentations.
-
Occasionally support in developing online science content, videos, or voiceovers for digital use.
5. Safety, Logistics & Equipment Handling
-
Ensure all demonstrations follow safety protocols, especially when handling chemicals or physical experiments.

Maintain and organize event materials, lab kits, and props for reuse and transport.
-
Report any damages or incidents to the event coordinator or supervisor immediately.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, or Engineering).

Excellent verbal communication and public speaking skills.
-
Strong command of English and preferably regional language.
-
Confidence in performing in front of small and large audiences, including children and families.

Natural ability to simplify scientific concepts and relate them to everyday life.
-
Basic understanding of safe experiment handling and event protocol.
