Scientist C  job opportunities in Indian Institute of Astrophysics

No. of Post :  1

Qualification :  Ph.D in any area of astronomy with a demonstrated ability to conduct outreach programs for students and the broader public.

Desirable  : Must be fluent in English with a working knowledge of Kannada. Fluency in Hindi and Tamil desired.

Experience :  The candidate must have been awarded a PhD with good research contributions and two years’ experience, preferably with an outreach focus. Deserving candidates may be considered for a higher position

Scale of Pay : Level-11 (VII CPC) Pay Range: Rs. 67700 to Rs. 208700/ PB-3,GP- Rs. 6600 (VI CPC)

Age Limit :  37 years

Place of Posting : Bengaluru

Selection Process :  1) Selection to post of Scientist C will be on the basis of initial screening and then personal interview. 2) Qualification and experience prescribed is the minimum requirement and the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for personal interview. Initial screening will be conducted based on the academic performance and experience.
