Scientist SD (Geoinformatics) / Assistant Programmer job recruitment in Punjab Remote Sensing Centre on regular basis
Scientist SD (Geoinformatics)
No. of Post : 01
Qualification : i) Ph.D in the subject Geo-Informatics/Remote Sensing &Geographic Information System (GIS) with good knowledge of related computer/IT applications Or 1st Class ME/M.Tech./M.Sc. or equivalent Post Graduate in Geo-Informatics/Remote Sensing & Geographic Information System (GIS)/Computer Science/Information Technology with four years experience in the application of Geospatial technology from Government/Semi-Government/ Private/academic organizations. ii) Punjabi upto Matric level. If not the appointee will have to pass Punjabi upto Matric level within one year. Desirable: i) The incumbent should have proven record of past work so as to ascertain his credentials to lead the team of Geo-Informatics professionals of the centre and to develop overall framework of the division. ii) Training/Experience in using Remote Sensing and GIS technique in Geo-informatics/ Geospatial as evident from publications/ certificates/ testimonials will be added advantage

Qualification : First Class B.E./B.Tech./MCA/M.Sc. in Information Technology (IT)/Electronics & Communication (EC)/Computer Science (CS)/Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Must have passed Punjabi language examination upto Matric or its equivalent level OR must pass within one year as per rule. Desirable: Proficiency in Programming languages (.Net/ASP/VB/C/C++/C#/Python, RDBMS, Operating System (UNIX/Linux/Windows), Web Technologies, Information & Communication Technology (ICT), Mobile/Desktop/Web based Application Development and e-Governance
