Section Officer/Junior Clerk/ Nurse  Job opportunities in Gujarat National Law University

1. Section Officer – Research / 01 (UR)

Essential requirements & duties: (i) Master/Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the UGC.

(ii) Seven years’ experience with Under-Graduate degree/five years’ experience with PostGraduate degree in relevant field in academic-research institution; knowledge or background in law and inter-disciplinary fields institutions desirable;

(iii) Knowledge of data collection and analysis, statistical computer software programs (tables, figures and other embedded elements),(iv) Qualitative and quantitative data sets, communication, presentation skills and project and documentation management experience essential; (v) Administrative supervision of research projects and ensures timely initiation and completion of research projects; (vi) Drawing of individual and research division research schedules to monitor the activities of the research teams; (vii) To help in collection, review and analysis of data, reports project progress to individual project team and funding agency; (viii)To help in interpreting data, writing reports and ensure quality edited final document for submission to various agencies;(ix) To manage the utilisation of fund allocated or available for individual research projects, to ensure release of timely payment to authorised individuals and agencies, compliance with the audit and agency requirements; (x) To prepare, update and maintain a full and comprehensive research project database of the University; (xi) To perform administrative, research and any other duties as required by the University. (xii) Proven record of integrity, honesty and devotion to services; very good knowledge of English and working knowledge of Gujarati; personal qualities of inter-personal relations, ability and commitment for long-working hours and week-ends/holidays and professional commitment to meet deadlines absolutely essential. 

Desirable: (i) Valid CCC+ certificate.

Pay Scale : Level 6 Rs. 35400-112400

2. Section Officer – General Administration/ 01 (UR)

Essential requirements & duties: (i) Master/Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the UGC;

(ii) Seven years’ experience with Under-Graduate degree/five years’ experience with PostGraduate degree in relevant field preferably in academic-research institute institution & knowledge or background in law and inter-disciplinary fields institutions desirable; (iii) Professional competence includes knowledge of functioning of academic/research institution, (iv) Knowledge of academic and administrative regulations and rules; (v) Ability to work with government and academic departments and offices; (vi) Skills and ability to facilitate queries and questions of students of various programs and diverse backgrounds in cordial and professional manner; personal qualities include tactfulness, maintenance of confidentiality, long-working hours, excellent inter-personal relations; commitment to ensure completion of complex administrative tasks; (vii) To plan, organise and monitor inter-departmental administrative programs and activities; (viii)To provides coordination support to the Office of the Director, Office of the Registrar, Offices of Deans and Senior Officials of the University; (ix) To liase with internal and external authorities and individuals for supervision and follow-up on University programs (x) To provide information to senior management, faculty, staff and students on educational, research, training programs of the University and obtains feedback for enhanced performance of various departments (xi) To provide administrative and secretarial support in various training programs and works as a trouble-shooter to ensure last-minute follow-up, etc. (xii)To ensure timely correspondence with statutory bodies and contributes to the meeting of the needs of the bodies requirements, in consultation with the Office of the Director and Registrar (xiii) To maintain various information databases for the purposes of use by senior management (xiv) To act in place of Assistant Registrar or other senior administrative officers as and when required (xv) Proven record of integrity, honesty, maintenance of confidentiality and devotion to services; ability and commitment for long-working hours and week-ends / holidays and professional commitment to meet deadlines under stressful conditions essential (xvi) Knowledge of English and fluency in Gujarati essential;

Desirable: (ii) Valid CCC+ certificate.

3. Junior Clerk – Guest House / 01 (UR)

Essential Qualification and Other Requirements: (i) Master/Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government. (ii) Three years’ experience with Under-Graduate degree/One years’ experience with Post Graduate degree in relevant field preferably in educational institution/Government/Semi Government/ Public or Private Enterprise/Firms. (iii) Basic knowledge of English and Hindi and fluency in Gujarati essential.

Desirable: (i) Valid CCC certificate. (ii) Experience in national/international level institute. (iii) The incumbent should have hands on experience in handling travel itinerary. (iv) Preferred having hands on experience to technology/application available to check the Aireline/Railways details online.

Pay Scale : Level 2 Rs.19900-63200

4. Nurse /01 (UR)

Essential Qualification and Other Requirements: (i) Master/Bachelor degree or Diploma in nursing from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government. (ii) Four years’ experience with Under-Graduate degree/Two years’ experience with PostGraduate degree/ Six years’ experience with Diploma in nursing, preferably in educational institution/Government/Semi Government/ Public or Private Enterprise/Firms. (iii) Good functioning knowledge of English and Hindi essential.

Desirable: (i) Valid CCC certificate.

Pay Scale : Level 2 Rs.19900-63200 

Application fees : Fee  for each Post: Rs. 500 for candidates from unreserved category and Rs.300 for candidates from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories. Fees shall be paid either in cash at the University or through Demand Draft drawn in favor of Gujarat National Law University payable at Ahmedabad.
