Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of robust enterprise security solutions. As a senior technical expert, the Security Architect plays a critical role in shaping our organization's security strategy, architecture, and practices.
The role involves designing secure IT infrastructure, reviewing emerging technologies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring all security measures align with organizational goals and compliance standards. The Security Architect will collaborate closely with IT, software development, risk, and compliance teams to embed security across systems, networks, cloud services, and applications.
This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in cybersecurity, system architecture, risk management, and a deep understanding of evolving threats in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Security Architecture Design:

Develop, maintain, and evolve enterprise security architecture and frameworks aligned with business and IT strategies.

Design secure system architectures for on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Define security requirements for applications, databases, networks, and identity/access management systems.

Create and update security reference models, patterns, and blueprints to guide technical teams.
2. Threat and Risk Management:

Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analysis for new systems and upgrades.

Identify potential security risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and monitor implementation of controls.

Collaborate with the risk and compliance teams to support regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).

Assess security posture across the organization and present findings to senior leadership.
3. Technical Leadership and Advisory:

Provide technical leadership to security engineers and cross-functional teams during system implementation.

Act as a security advisor for infrastructure, DevOps, and software development projects.

Review architectural changes and provide guidance to ensure security is embedded in design and development life cycles.

Guide teams on secure coding practices, data encryption, and API security standards.
4. Cloud and Network Security:

Architect cloud-native security solutions, including secure networking, identity management, and data protection in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Work with network teams to ensure proper firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust architectures are in place.

Implement and manage tools like SIEM, DLP, CASB, WAF, endpoint protection, and SOAR platforms.

Validate third-party services and cloud vendors for security compliance and integration.
5. Security Governance and Compliance:

Define and update security policies, standards, and procedures across systems and services.

Contribute to incident response planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.

Monitor the evolving regulatory landscape and ensure systems remain compliant with changing laws.

Assist in audits and respond to inquiries from internal or external compliance teams.
6. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed documentation of security architecture, controls, and configurations.

Prepare executive-level reports and presentations on security risks, incidents, and mitigation plans.

Track and report metrics related to security performance, incident response times, and compliance status.
