Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Access Control and Surveillance:

Monitor and control access points such as gates, doors, and main entries.

Verify ID cards, passes, or biometrics of employees, visitors, and vendors.

Maintain a visitor register and issue gate passes as needed.

Operate and monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) and alarm systems.
2. Patrolling and Monitoring:

Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas (interior and exterior).
-
Check for signs of unauthorized entry, theft, fire, or unusual activity.

Monitor building equipment such as fire extinguishers, exit signs, and emergency alarms.

Report any suspicious behavior or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
3. Incident Response and Reporting:

Respond promptly to alarms or emergency calls (e.g., fire, theft, accident).

Take appropriate action based on the situation, including alerting emergency services if required.

Write detailed incident reports and maintain daily activity logs.

Assist in conducting preliminary investigations in case of minor security breaches.
4. Crowd and Traffic Control:

Manage crowds during peak hours, events, or emergencies to ensure orderly conduct.

Direct pedestrian and vehicle traffic in parking lots, driveways, or building entrances.

Prevent trespassing and loitering in restricted areas.
5. Safety and Emergency Preparedness:

Perform basic first aid or CPR in emergency cases until help arrives (if trained).

Participate in fire drills, evacuation drills, and emergency preparedness programs.

Ensure all emergency exits are unobstructed and signage is visible.
6. Asset Protection:
-
Guard equipment, tools, vehicles, and sensitive areas from theft or damage.

Monitor loading and unloading of goods and verify delivery personnel and documentation.

Ensure safety of valuables such as documents, IT equipment, or cash (as applicable).
