Job Description
Key Responsibilities

Access Control
-
Monitor and control entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access.

Check identification, credentials, or passes of employees, visitors, and contractors.

Maintain a visitor log and issue temporary access passes when needed.

Ensure that security protocols are followed during ingress and egress.

Surveillance and Monitoring
-
Operate and monitor CCTV and alarm systems to identify suspicious activity.
-
Conduct routine inspections of security cameras and equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Stay alert to any irregular or unusual activity and report or act on it promptly.

Record observations and document any incidents as they occur.

Patrolling
-
Perform regular patrols of the premises, including parking lots, buildings, and restricted areas.

Inspect doors, windows, gates, and locks to ensure they are properly secured.

Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security breaches encountered during patrols.

Deter criminal activity by maintaining a visible presence.
-

Incident Response and Emergency Management
-
Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies such as fires, medical situations, or security breaches.

Call emergency services (police, fire department, medical personnel) when necessary.

Assist with evacuation procedures during emergencies and guide people to safety.

Administer basic first aid or CPR if trained and required.

Reporting and Documentation
-
Write accurate and timely reports on daily activities, incidents, or irregularities such as property damage, theft, or unusual occurrences.

Maintain logs of inspections, patrols, equipment checks, and access control.

Provide written statements or testify in legal proceedings if required.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive or private information.

Customer Service

Greet and assist visitors, employees, and clients in a professional and courteous manner.

Provide directions or information as needed and help with general inquiries.

Maintain a calm demeanor during stressful situations and resolve minor conflicts diplomatically.

Law and Policy Enforcement

Enforce site-specific policies, rules, and procedures.

Deter criminal or unethical behavior through presence and intervention.

Coordinate with law enforcement when necessary and assist in investigations.

Prevent vandalism, loitering, trespassing, and other unlawful activities.
