Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with specific expertise in Goods and Services Tax (GST), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), Income Tax Returns (ITR), and auditing processes.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
Tax Compliance:
- Manage GST compliance, including return preparation and filing.
- Ensure timely TDS filing and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare and file Income Tax Returns (ITR) for individuals and businesses.
Auditing:
- Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with auditors to provide necessary documentation and resolve any discrepancies.
Account Management:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Team Leadership: Mentor and train junior accountants and support staff in accounting best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum accounting experience, with a focus on GST, TDS, ITR, and auditing.
- Strong understanding of accounting software and tools (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
